sing along with Kermit the Frog

RAINBOW CONNECTION
Kermit the Frog

Why are there so many
Songs about rainbows
And what's on the other side
Rainbow's are visions
But only illusions
And rainbows have nothing to hide
So we've been told and some choose to believe it
But I know they're wrong wait and see

Someday we'll find it
The Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

Who said that every wish
Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star
Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
Look what it's done so far
What's so amazing
That keeps us star gazing
And what do we think we might see

Someday we'll find it
The Rainbow Connection
The lovers the dreamers and me

All of us under its spells
We know that it's probably magic

Have you been half asleep
And have you heard voices
I've heard them calling my name
Is this the sweet sounds that called the young sailors
The voice might be one and the same
I've heard it too many times to ignore it
There's something that I'm supposed to be

Someday we'll find it
The Rainbow Connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me

Laa, da daa dee da daa daa,
La laa la la laa dee daa doo...

The Singapore Repertory Theatre presents

Avenue Q

Finally caught the last show of Avenue Q and it doesn't suck to see.... wheeeee. Totally whacky and hilarious....

If you were gay, tt'll be ok

i mean cos hey i'd like u anyway

because u see if it were me

i would be free to say tt I was gay

but I'm not gay...

............................................................................................

tt's my favourite song of the day. Initially, I thought that it'll only be showing puppets only. I mean I didnt realise that the actors holding the puppets will be singing and dancing alongside. Instead of distracting the audience, the actors actually play an important role in the show. Their dramatic actions and singing made the puppets come to live. Avenue Q is like Sesame Street all grown up!! Notice the resemblence of Trekkie Monster and Cookie Monster, Rod and Nicky similar to Ernie and Bert, just more gay. Lolx.

.................................................................................

"The internet is for porn, the internet is for porn"

"Sticks and stones, Kate Monster"

"You're a pervert Trekkie. Normal ppl dont sit at home and look at porn"

" I know that Brian uses the internet to sell his clothes on ebay"

"You're right Kate Monster. But what about AFTER that??"

..................................................................................................

There's so much to do in Singapore. WHo says there isn't? There's art, concerts, Zoukout, food.... it's everywhere!! PLus students get to enjoy discounts on sistic tickets. Like we got the Avenue Q tickets at a discount rate of 25%. That's half of what ppl pay outside for CAT1 tickets. Also, Cats the Musical is coming to Singapore in Mar 2009. And students get to buy CAT1 tickets which is the stall seats @ $50 nett. That's like more than half of what adults have to pay. : D

Totally recommend it. Don say Singapore is boring.

We're going wafu over japanese!!

Today is considered a fruitful day, thought at the whole family could make our way down to Delifrance for a buffet breakfast. Turned out that most of them had either eaten or had plans for later. Oh wells, having slept for only 4 and a half hrs, probably the first time I woke up at 830am. While comtemplating whether to continue to sleep, my mother asked me to go exercise with my little cousin. Apparently he needed to do some workout, flabby belly I reckon. So there is a reason why I woke up so early :) So off we went. Before that, a little situation occurred when we had to pump the basketball and sports link wasnt open at that time. In the end, I purchased the pump, save the hassel. Turned out that the ball was no better, by the time we finished playing, it was deflated again. Anyway, it was great waking up so early knowing that you have not wasted any moment. The day seemed longer as I realised.

Making sushi was considered horrendous yet fun. Esp with my little cousin around. That little boy couldnt even stand still for a minute. Well, at least the sushi tasted great. I recommend to use pork floss as the filling. Crunchy. Didnt have time to really sit down and study as there's so much things to do during weekends. Went to Singapore Biennale 2008 at the City Hall on Saturday as it was fantastic, though we had to rush through exhibitions as they close at 8pm. This year's theme is 'Wonder', very different from the one two years ago, themed 'Belief'. The latter to me was a much darker theme. However, this year's exhibitions were lesser than 'Belief'. Anyway SB2008 is ending next Saturday so interested parties pls really make a trip down. It's worth it. Can't wait for SB2010. I think I can consider collecting ticket stubs and SB guide as a bi-hobby. hee.

My sister and I made bento lunched for tmr. Super exciting cos the Chew family has finally decided to go healthy!! Haha. Yes, tt's right, we packed japanese rice topped with sesame seeds and unagi as the main dish followed by a light salad with strawberries and cherry tomatoes. Second dish was cold zaru soba with seaweed and wasabi. Yumms, cant wait to taste it. Definitely more successful than what Jo and I did during our secondary sch term. Lolx. Right jo?? :D After staying in hall, late nights with late dinner and supper plus unhealthy diet are so showing on my skin. At this rate, I don't think I have the energy to keep up with my studies. It's time to seriously consider whether to stay next year. Too bad I have to continue to stay due to my committments in Rag. Well, I must experience one year of Rag. It's going to be great!! Sister's birthday celebration was a quick one esp the camera's batt is dying. Practically rushing to take photos, sing song and cut cake. The chocolate cake from Han's is a thumbs up. A bit too chocolatety though, must drink more green tea.

It's only midnight am I able to really get stuck in my chair and flip open the dust-covered textbook. Everyone's asleep. When will I ever sleep early?

I was in the lift with her
She stood in the next corner
Her phone was blasting such loud music
So wanted to just stare at her
As I looked longer
I realised she was tearing
The sadness in her eyes
Whoever broke her heart?

What's the hurry, Singaporeans?

Two months in Japan really opened up the way I see things. Especially when I come back to my home land, I started to notice a huge difference in our culture and theirs. Forget abt the land size, I'm talking about culture and values. Japanese was once associated with laziness as in the past, they would only start to work in the fields when the weather is not too sunny. Well, I'd say things have changed. The streets are bustling not only because of cars and people but also with street performers, trucks blasting music to promote their album and sales promoting the products in their high pitch voice. We hardly ever see that in our home land. Service in Singapore, as I gradually got to know, is bad. Real bad. It certainly is bad in comparison with Japan. Japanese are super polite when it comes to service. They thank you when returning your change, they escort you to the entrance and hand you your bag before bowing to a what looks like a 90 degree down. Maybe I got used to the service over there. But I did not carry that expectation to Singapore. That was fine. But what I got at department stores these days were far below what would be called ' appropriate'. I entered Mango at Wisma Atria few days ago. After choosing two skirts to try, I proceeded to the changing room. Perhaps it was the sale season, saleswomen were busy or smth, the lady from the changing room took the skirts from me with a smile, removed the hangers and as if her arm was dislocated swung her arm to the changing rooms. Excuse me? Was that a signal for me to enter the rooms? She did not even look at me and continued to do her own stuff. Hello? Is that the right attitude to handle customers? Singaporeans complain a lot, people complain that we complain a lot. But if we change the attitude in the first place, there wouldnt be complains at all.

And what's up with trains these days? Sorry, I'm talking about the kia-su-ism when it comes to boarding and alighting the trains. The yellow lines on the floor were there for a reason. WHy cant ppl understand that we all are able to make it into the carriage? Why cant we just wait for all the commuters to alight before boarding? Japanese actually queue to enter the carriage and would automatically stand at the side of both doors and wait patiently before boarding. If you cant take this train, take the next one? Are you in a hurry, Singaporeans?

Today my parents and I went to TP for dinner. Satuarday night's a killer when it comes to traffic and carpark space. Luckily we drove our car to the front to look for spots. We were right behind this old man driving his white hashback car. And right behind him was a black Toyota Celica. A young couple was inside. The car beside us was leaving alr, so we drove a bit to the front for them to exit, after which we backed up into the spot. Simple. Then the car on our right was leaving as well, naturally the old man in the white car thought of backing up into the spot. But NOOOOO. The Celica drove up and blocked the empty spot. Neither of the cars budged and we were all in the car watching the hoo-har. Then the young lady in the car actually alighted and went up to the white car. I think she said that they have waited for a very long time and that spot was theirs. In the end, the old man had to drive up to find another spot. And the Celica swiftly reversed into the space. The whole time I was staring at the young lady. Lady, where's the respect? Does it hurt if you offered the space for the old man instead? I really felt like slapping the lady and the man. Both young, maybe rich vs old man and wife with a grandchild. Come on man, so what if you waited for a long time, that doesnt mean that the spot is yours. And there was a car in front of you, not exactly your space, I would say. I realli wanted to hit them, especially when I started queuing for fish ball noodles, they were right behind me. Ignorant, bastards, bitches, impolite, inconsiderate, proud, haughty, ungracious and many more. Everything just came out. Just felt like doing a public scolding for the both of them. I saw the old man, frail and bony. He was just there to buy noodles for take away and his grandchild was there too. What's the hurry Singaporeans? Is there really no time to just do a good deed a day. I gave up my seat in the Tokyo metro for an old lady. Though the lady said it was ok, she took the seat anyway. Just before I alighted, she stood up a bit and thanked me once again and it felt good doing a good deed. We are just too carried with our lives walking the streets in Orchard, shopping, high tea, having lunch, working, driving, talking on phones, gadgets, technology. Stop right there, take a look around. Look at the people you never look before, see the things around you. Singaporeans should really take the opportunity to look at the outside world other than Singapore and really see that the world actually works a little bit better and nicer than the small world we currently have now. And that if our values are not fairly adjusted a bit, I'd say there's no use for GEMS program or Courtesy Campaign. Singa the Lion can retire soon and public transport isn't better. We are really not what people think we are.

I'm moving!! That means tonight is the last night I'll be staying in this guesthouse in Waseda. We're going to move to my sister's fren's hse. Plus I was given the hint that I'll be slping beside the kitchen stove. -.- Anyway, there's so much to pack now and I cant get everything to be stuffed into my luggage. Arghhs! Must get hold of myself, dawn is breaking soon and the inspector will be coming ard 10am to check the room. After which, I can get back my 20k deposit and finally eat smth!! Lolx. Ppl might think that staying in Tokyo for two mths is boring, that I should go out to Kyoto or Kobe to eat Kobe beef ( I still want that!!!) but exploring Tokyo requires more than just a mere few months. Dexter and I have realised other alternative street fashion streets admist their bigger version of Orchard Road and those were never mentioned in Lonely Planet or other guide books. Tokyo has definitely opened up my eyes other than Paris. Ok la, Paris one eye, Tokyo another eye. You'll be surprised to hear that we can spend abt two weeks walking the same road and still be amazed by the area itself.

I ask my sister which city would you come again now that we have experienced them : Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan. I asked myself too and the decision was unanimous. Japan is a country that emphasises on quality and quantity. Their limited edition labels and products can really get the tourists and japanese to queue for them. And japanese are very proud of them. They too are proud. The city is clean and almost litter-free. Way better than our 'clean and green city'. The separation of grabage is so detailed that you really finish your food instead of throwing them away. The overall satisfactory definitely make me want to come back again. And I am going to.

Dawn is breaking...

Waking up at 5am for Tsukiji Market. Not easy.

Tokyo Midtown - Chanced upon colourful delectable desserts. I was surprised by the richness and full flavoured macaroons and cakes that resembled the ones I've seen in Paris. Unusual but unique, oh so want to eat them within one bite. Midtown was definitely an eye opener together with Dexter and his friends.

I want my cakes and desserts!

today's a special day for mee! for me and my wallet. hohoho. today's the day Clinique launch their new moisture surge summer set. =) It so happened that we went to buy their lip treatment for our super dried up lips and the sales gave me two samples of their new NEW Moisture Surge™ Extended Thirst Relief and it is amazing! totally loved it!! Totally waited for this day to come so that I can chiong and buy it. But! Today is also the day Uniqlo launches the works of their collaboration with Alexander Wang, fashion designer much to the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton and Ashless Simpson. I took the singapore spirit to Isetan and bought the summer set! still beaming from the usage of the moisturizer. So I happily went to class and then made my way to Uniqlo at Shibuya. Uniqlo at Shinjuku told me that only certain shops carry the line. So, I happily trutted my way to find Uniqlo. And when I found it, I searched high and low but no avail. In the end, we had to ask the sales. U know what did he tell us? He told us that all the clothes by Alexander Wang have been snatched up within 5 mins of the opening of the store.

.................... I was flabbergusted! I was like 'OhohohOHOHOH!!" Omg, I so totally wanna kill myself for not bringing the kiasu-ism to Uniqlo. Should have gone to Uniqlo first. Then Dexter reminded me that Clinique may be selling the summer set from today but not today only. =( SIgh. so sad. I missed the chance of buying my favs. He's line of clothes are so nice la!! =(

bonjour..eh konichiwa!!
hey guys, the first post over here and I'm lovin' it. =)
been getting ard by trains, sightseeing. The places here are fantastic! but the weather is turning slightly cold. and I didnt bring enough clothes. great but that gives me even more excuses to buy clothes here. hehe.

today's my first day of school. 2pm is just the right time for me esp my well known vampire timings back in SHeares. lolx. School was great, we learned quite a bit of stuff over here. And i got free posters!! it was 'visit japan campaign' promotional posters. But it was awesome cos they have them in all languages and I got two in french and english! how cool! I was a happy girl when walking to Shinanomachi Station. hehe =)

today's weather is freaking cold. After studying with dexter in my room, I walked him out the door and it was raining outside. omg, i really dunno what to wear for tmr le. I have to start piling heaps of clothes on me. May look like a dumpling though. watch out!

Monday, May 5, 2008

finally, the last post in singapore before the first post in japan, tokyo. Last saturday marked the end of my year 1 semester 2 examinations. And two days later from then, i'll be in tokyo. That is like so fast! Sunday I was busy packing my room, getting ready to evacuate out of SHeares. Monday, went out with Bernice n JY to Bugis. There are so many things to eat at the basement of Bugis Junction. Lolx, like I've nv been there before. I brought a list of things I wanted to buy but after shopping around for four hours, I only managed to get a belt, a SUPER NICE grey outerwear and... yah, that's all. Anyway, it was a wonderful trip being the first time going out with the two lamers. Though the 'extreme makeover' for JY was a failure but fret not! Bernice and I will certainly complete our mission!! *determined*
Today, went back for the last time to Blk A. Bought desserts for the guys and made my way to my room. There were few things still left in the room. Sobs, and the weather was so hot and I had to push back the furniture all by myself. SOBS. eh, no la. It was an easy feat. haha. After which I msg YM if the movie was still on. Bernice and I made our way to 6th floor, for the last time. The Superhero Movie was lame la. Though there's a plot, I managed to get a few laughs throughout the entire show. Oh wells, had a good time just bonding with the seniors, esp when they're leaving soon. But the whole exprience in SHeares cannot end without a battle in..... PUZZLE FIGHTER. The latest craze started by Bernice. There were two battle rooms, advance and intermediate. Of cos, I don belong to the advance but also actually don belong to intermediate too cos I lost to the guy that is known to suck at the game. Sigh, I thought can boost morale. =( ANyway, I must jia you during the two months. Then when I come back, I shall rise again. Muahaha... Muahaha... MUhahahahah. -.-

Realli felt like crying when I took cab back. People who know that I'm leaving realli touched my heart. All the hugs and take cares and goodbyes made me feel that I'm real again. Saying goodbye can be so easy but actually letting it go feels horrible. Then I heard a voice. It made me smile and move on. I guess we will meet again. =) Goodbye, seniors! You all shall be missed. Tata~

I was walking along the pavement near Sheares when I passed by this pond. There, was a young girl sitting beside the pond and just staring at her reflection. Curiously, I went up to her to strike a conversation. I ask her where she come from, is she staying in hall, etc. Then as we talked, we started talking about relationships. It was interesting cos she told me that she'd been in and out of love many times, though it's countable. She seemed to be growing tired of relationships. But then again, she saw her friends around her being loved by someone. She yearned to have that. I told her it's normal to feel that way cos humans are always contradicting. When you have an apple, you would want to have the pear in the hands of another. She agreed but went on to saying that there are so many apples and pears out there, how would she know which one to choose. I thought for a while. That is true, how do we know which one is rotten or juicy. I told her maybe she should try the apples and pears so that she'll know how do they taste like. But would that take a lifetime, she asked. I said, if that's the case, ask yourself what do you want to eat? Would you like to be an apple that is green, juicy but with a little tinge of sourness or a pear that is crunchy? If that fruit fufills your criteria, pick that fruit. Wouldnt' that mean you'll leave out plenty of other juicy and colourful fruits and just stick with that only fruit that you picked. I told her that maybe it doesnt pay to be greedy. By the time you are ready to pick the right fruit, other nicer fruits are in season. It is never ending. When are you ready to stop looking? Grasses are always greener on the other side. But while you are gazing, do not forget the patch of grass on your side, because that is what matters. You are now with that patch. What are you going to do about it. Life is all about choices and how you live with the choice you make. So make the choice that you will not regret. Because regret lives forever in your heart, till you die. Unless you are able to free the pain. Suddenly, the girl started crying. It's been a very long time since she let out her agony and frustration. I told her, it's ok. Cry as much as you want. Sometimes, crying makes us human all over again. We are blinded by so many things in the world, when we meet situations, we put a shield to protect ourselves. Sometimes, we just need to let out a cry, to tell the world, we are after all humans. She went on to tell me that there's this boy that she like but didnt dare to tell him because he is not staying in the next semester. If only she had more time with him. I ask her is she close to the boy. She shook her head. She hardly see him. But when she saw him, her heart always skip a beat. But then, he hardly notice her. When both of them talked, she always feel like happy. Even her friends commented that her face always light up when she's with him. But then sometimes, he'll treat her like a transparent paper. It seems like he's blowing hot and cold. I frowned as that does not seem like a good sign, even for a friend. 20 years of experience in this world, I dont think that is a friend at all. Why would a friend do this to do? Maybe he is in a bad mood, I suggested. She shook her head. She knew the reason. He has many girl-friends circling around him and he is not shy about it. Perhaps, to him, she is just another girl living in the same building. I probed a bit more, if you knew that he is such a flirt, why do you still torture yourself? You should stop thinking about it. Forget about him. She looked at me with her eyes filled with tear, it was like she was asking me for help. She couldnt get out of the hole. I told her, the semester is coming to an end, you probably won be able to see him again. You should free yourself from all the agony since the chance of you two being together is really slim. Drop the unnecessary burden and walk free from it. Maybe you'll live happier. Even though you two had some memorable times together, all that is left are memories. So take them with you and move on. Life is unfair. The unspoken rule says that only one fruit is allowed at one single time. You are still young, there are so many fruits out there. Choose wisely before you regret.

The young girl looked at me. This time, her tears have dried up. Though she wasnt crying, I could tell she was not convinced. I looked at my watch, it was time to go back for dinner, I bade her goodbye before she turned around the corner and disappeared. In time to come, I know that she will understand what I was saying. I took a deep breath before walking back to SHeares with my head held up high. It was time to face my own fears.

Today, just saw this certain A and certain B are 'married' and they have made a wholelife commitment. What's all this? Ok, they may be expressing their love to the wholewide world but marriage isnt supposed to be like this. It's not anyhow declaration on some internet website and say it so. If you love someone, just say those three words. What happen to marriage being the sacred ceremony to unite as one, till death do us part? Are you sure it's a LIFETIME commitment? Sure, all men would agree. All women would agree. And how many of them ever tell the truth? Don't say something now that would hurt both of you eventually. I think it's just bullSh*t to me. Don take marriage too lightly.

You don even mean what you say. Meaner. Go away. Wait, you are away. =(

Warehouse Sale @ Henderson Industrial Park
G Star Tough JeanSmith Fiorucci Callaway Anteprima

This is one sale that I actually bought clothes that are decent, after The Venue sale. Other sales like Mango 90% sale, Victoria Secrets, Nike are disappointing. Either the sizes are too big or the clothes are like many many many seasons ago. Couldnt sleep ytd night and went down comm hall to have breakfast. Ppl who know me will understand that if I come down for breakfast, that means no sleep. How is it possible for me to wake up for breakfast when it ends at 9am everyday. In the end, manage to catch two hours of slp b4 Dexter does his job of waking me up. His skinny arm shook me furiously, undetered by my du lan face. Good job, or else I would have missed such a great sale.

Actually, when I got there, I was kinda pai seh, cos Singaporeans are crazy about sales. I can imagine people squeezing, clothes tossed everywhere, women desparately finding a small area to try fitting. But, there was no crowd at all. I was surprised cos if there wasnt any crowd, that means that there's nothing to much to see. But wrong! G star clothes are pretty decent to see and there are sizes. That's the most important thing. Tough bags and Salad bags are also going at 60% less. That's like less than 100 bucks. Everything is less 60% and more. G Star jeans are like a hundred plus after discount. That's like so cheap for the brand itself. Let's see, I bought a huge Salad bag @ 50 plus and it's reversable and huge enough to put everything in. I'm planning to bring it to Japan. Plus, I bought G Star black skinny jeans. Tt's like just the one that I one. Wanted to comtemplate buying one at Far East, but why buy that when u can buy one that is of good quality. haha.

Also, bought the most expensive of the day, a G Star black jacket that looks like the character in The Matrix cos the length is a little above knee. Totall loved it, ex though. That means I have eat air from now on. But I assured myself that I have not been shopping for like since one month ago, so this trip is acceptable. lolx. Was thinking of buying more and sell on ebay but since we're going to Tokyo soon, there's no way we can concentrate on the transactions. Anyway, too bad Dexter didnt buy anything but I assured him that he'll definitely buy something when we headed to Club 21 sale. I was wrong. In the end, I was the ultimate spender. -.- Actually what I bought was two leather bag charms. And one is for Vivien cos I forgot to buy her 20th birthday present in Taiwan. -.- Well, I'm sure everyone would know who's getting the other bag charm. Hoho, it's gorgeous, plus it has a small mirror behind. Though it's a bit overpriced.... it's... GORGEOUS! =)

Today is definitely a fuitful trip downtown. Oh well, it's back to mugging. Just got home with a quarter of the stuff in my SH room. Boy, brought quite loads of stuff in sem 1. Sads, sem 2 is coming to an end. I'm going to Japan soon. Can't bear to leave, all my frens are here in Singapore. Seniors are leaving Blk A soon. Acers are gonna miss them, esp the bunch at Level 6 boys(men) and Level 5 girls. Shall miss the poker days, movie marathon, buaya week, block supper, OCH. Like I told Dexter, I wanna be a part of everyone's life. But it's impossible. But at least we've made some memories together. I ask, would it make a great difference if I come to SH instead of RH last year. I though for a few days to get the answer. But it doesn't matter anymore. I'm glad I've come to SH this year. All the fun things we did together, the late night conversations, the laughter, the water fights, the card games. I remembered the first day of orientation, I was already playing mahjong with the seniors! What a way to start hall life. lolx. But I'm glad I did. Im very fortunate to meet such great bunch of seniors and frens in Sheares, particularly Acers. Thanks to everyone: Dexter, Jie Ying, Bernice, Grace, Joyce, Yee Lian, Laureen, Ting Hui, Sharon, Xu Han, Big Joshua, Small Joshua, Shi Da, Xu Da, Yuan Bin, Marcus-es, Amanda, Yeow An, Wang Ling, Shiau Yinn, Sean, Ben, Ronald, Hao Jie, Su, Dom, Pei Joo, Bright, Don, Bona, Ying Ming, Kenny, Joey, Jason... OMG too many!! To all Acers: EAT MORE BANANAS! =D

hm... how shall I put it. Here's my take on single-hood among girlfriends with boyfriends, girlfriends with girlfriends, and all other combinations we can imagine: I think single-hood is something everyone should embrace. Once in a while, we should have a myself-time. Just do whatever u like - alone. Quit thinking that going to eat alone is a OMG! It's a time when you really sit down and enjoy the quietness. Read a book, drink a cup of coffee, gaze at guys/girls. But Im not saying that lives with a partner is bad, it's a burden, it's quarrels or movies and dinner and movies again. Im sure everyone would be bored of being together with the same person like... forever. But actually what I just said is bullshit what I really really wanna say is that, it's no use looking for love, u have to find love. You'll be looking for love forever, but if u are unwilling to find one, it's no use. If you're enjoying single-hood because you cant settle down, you wanna have plenty of boy-friends, then chances are u're just looking around and not finding the right man. Maybe it's time to consider when are you ready. Right, sw?

Question of the day: Who is the lady sitting beside the VJ tee-shirt girl?
(hint: All XMS ppl should recognise her)

If you can guess it, congrats! Im sure 4e4 students know her. Cannot believe that I actually bumped into Mrs Lim while I was waiting to go for express pedicure at HLM. Took a second glance when I passed by her. So pai seh. She forgot my name and I forgot hers as well. dotz. The only name she rembed was florence. sigh, not the teacher's pet aye. I was furiously throwing names at her and she couldnt remember anyone our batch except chinese dancers. I was like 'Peiqi? Sinli?' She frowned. 'Ker wei? Kok Hong? Joanna?..... JACINTHA? SIANG FEIH?' More frowns. Sigh, we're all not her pets. But the names sounded familiar but just tt no images of them in her mind. Oh man, seeing my secondary school teacher brought back so much memories. Still rembed she was the one who practically dragged my entire batch of girls into chinese dance. No tears can moved her decision. Sobs. Oh wells, tt was in the past. Talking to her felt like talking to a big sister. And the way she talks is still the same!
'what color u want to choose?'
'aiyah, auntie color can le'
'aiyoh, u where got auntie? anyway, does the school allow u to have red nails?'
'why cannot? this is human rights leh. human rights'
dotz
OMG, and she can really bitch. XMS ppl will know the way she talks. Anyway we talked abt Xinmin, new principal in XMS, NUS, 10cents internal buses, washing clothes, love issues, nail color, kids, etc. And she actually lived quite near me. tsk tsk, i shall see her more often at HLM then. All in all, it was an enjoyable conversation with her. =)
Me posing with my teacher, Mrs Lim!

Ju Shin Jung Authentic Korean Charcoal Restaurant

my dad was like 'look there's a table!' we went to the table directly, ignoring the queue of people that was waiting to be served. -.- Go father!

Look at the number of side dishes they gave us and the whole long tray of fresh vegetables. We were first given a starter which includes a bowl of onions and seaweed preserved in sweet vinegar. And the korean tea was a little diluted but refreshing. Dig in!

There are so many different variety of fresh vegetables to choose from. Usually we cook the meat then place the meat on the veggie, with a bit of BBQ sauce, wrap it and enjoy.

Look at the piece of beef. Didnt expect it to cost 59 bucks. But it's worth it, if we order two meat and above, the side dishes would be free!

The kim chi soup was delicious, nothing spicy but a bit too oily. I had to put two pieces of lettuce to suck up the oil and tt's not enough. I recommend the spring onion seafood pancake (also know in korean as pajun) That was really heavenly, sides are a bit crispy while the pancake was not too thick. I wouldnt say it's sweet but it was definitely tasty. I would say it's worth it for the price of $20 for a piece of korea. =)

parents getting all too serious. Mother thinks the hair looks terrible. But the main thing is i took all the pictures with my phone! hee. Oh, over here at the restaurant, they uses metal chopsticks and soup spoon. Not to mention that the staff are mostly chinese or korean. And the instructions to the fire starter kit is also in korean! talk about authentic huh.

I've got the reply regarding my SEP. Of cos, not a good one though after repeated tries. Eventually I've come to terms with that. After all, what can I do. When putting through on hold for a long time and all u get to do is to speak with the answering machine, it's time to move on. 12 years of education and counting, No sweat but tears have flown. Encouragement words haven been said and written to encourage myself that exams are going to be over soon. The storm is ending soon. Soon. U'll be able to see the rainbow again. it's been like 3 sem in NUS. So how about the NUS experience. Nothing much. I have alr come to terms with bell curves, attendance stars, participation points. All I can say is, if someone can cramp a module within 4 days and get an A. And another student who constantly get B-/B and suddenly get a D, I would wonder if the student realli not write anything on the final paper cos that will mean that he/she got a F for that. But then in NUS, anything can happen, just like DisneyLand. Like what most tutors would say to encourage and to prevent complacency, ' I've seen students who are consistent but then at the end get terrible results. But there are some who will surprise me by ace-ing the final paper'
I have worked hard for this sem, and worked smart. Like all smart NUStudents, I will raise hands for participation points, I will deliberately ask questions, I will go for tutorials for attendance stars. I won be happy, but I will have my results. I have learned to do it the smart way. But if results still reflect the bad, there's nothing I can do. I'm sick of crying.

finally, I renewed my PDL. Met N while walking out. Got a free ride to BBDC. =) While riding the taxi, slow or not, I just realised that not only did the initial fare for taxi increased, the fare for every 335m increased to 20cents!! OMG, I must have NOT taken a taxi in many months. That's so expensive. Even the driver was complaining abt the price hike and the potential of a further petrol price hike. Tsk tsk, I can understand taxi drivers' feelings cos I wouldn't want to take taxi unless it's extremely necessary. But, I'm not Superman. Only Super-LTA can help them.
When I got there, the queue was super long. OMG, spent an hour and half just sitting there and getting panaroid when the numbers blinked. There's like four categories of ppl waiting with only two counters open. Anyway, I just sat there, trying to focus on FNA, unfortunately, due to my short attention span, I cant help but glance around. There's like so many ppl taking basic theory and so many ppl passing. With so many potential drivers out on Singapore roads, I cant help wondering what are my chances of getting into an accident one day. With all my time dedicated to waiting, all I did was renewed the license. Didnt have enough time to book slots, and off i went back to my 'home'
There's Block Supper tmr but I cant go. =( Apparently they're hiring a lot of lorries to accomodate us. So what's the schedule for the night: we'll go CHangi Village look at trans, go OCH look at ghosts then go Geylang look at prostitutes. -.-''' how interesting. How abt supper?
So wanna go too, but then due to procrastination, I have to sit my ass down on such a beautiful friday night and start doing my biz law assignment that is due next monday and OM readings. OMG, kill meeeee. I wanna goooooo. This is the moment when I desperately need a double. Yes, a double. Only that she don't have to look like me, just sit her ass down and write me that 1000-words biz law paper. In the meantime, it's back to hitting the books. Literally.

when you cant have the person
yet your heart still skipped a beat when you see him
you cant hold him forever
you cant talk to him in peace
he raised his voice
he let out a laugh
he stared sliently at you
he quietly ignored you
he decides

sometimes, memories are all that matters.

just like that, four days of CNY are over. yes, it's that fast. not much of things done except feasting and exercising our hands with dry swimming Lol. It's time to hit the books again. -.-Sleepy

Today fats, shumin and I went to celebrate Jk's 21st. Hohoho, after being bombed with surprises with S47 team, it's time to have a nice quiet lunch with him. But we had fun except for the slow service and bad food. What a mouthful of chocolate cake we have. Yes, all I know is that it's a chocolate cake with alcohol. Lol. Such a waste we didnt have lou hei at fatty's hse. Because our 2nd family members couldnt make it *sobs* what happened to our tradition? -.- anyway pretty shagged after cakes and lunch. And I have dance at 2030. Oh my goodness, how can I survive my hall life when dance is taking away most of my time. *sobs**sobs* And if possible, pls stay away from Cineleisure this Saturday(16th) around in the afternoon, cos I'll probably be dancing at the F&N's launching of their new drink (which we're not endorsing... luckily)pls pls pls stay away *fingers crossed*

Sheares Hall recently had this photography competition. This year's theme is Overlooked: On Second Glance. I've been going around taking pictures, sourcing inspiration. Had everything ready but in the end... I missed the dateline *dotz*
